Alesis Drums | Why Wont The Module Output Any Sound When It's Connected To A Computer?

When any Alesis drum module is connected to a computer, its internal soundcard is bypassed, and the module operates as a Pad > MIDI converter.

In this setup, your computer’s soundcard takes over audio processing duties.

As a result, when using a virtual drum instrument such as the BFD Player, the sound will play through your computer’s audio output rather than the module’s speaker or headphone outputs.

Please ensure that your speakers or headphones are connected to your computer's audio outputs when the module is connected via USB.

If your speakers or headphones are connected to the module's audio outputs, no sound will be heard.
