This error message usually pertains to an incorrect power supply, or a disconnected/ loose wire.
To rectify, please check the following:
1) Make sure you are using the provided power supply for the module. This should be 9 VDC; 500 mA; center-positive.
2) Check that the cable snake in the back of the module is connected securely, with both screws tight.
Note: If you notice any resistance, or the cable snake is not sitting evenly, disconnect the cable snake completely, and look at the male end of the connector. If any of the pins are bent, it could be causing the issue. Gently bending the pin to straighten it out with your finger, or a pair of needle nose pliers should be enough to allow it to be seated properly.
If you are still experiencing issues after this, you can attempt a factory reset by powering the module off completely, and then holding the < and > buttons while you power the module on.
