General:
What colors are the Alesis Recital Home available in? Are there any differences?
The Recital Home is available in a modern Turquoise and a classic Black finish. There are no functional or sound differences between the models.
Is the stand included?
Yes! The Recital Home features an easy-to-assemble and space-saving 4-leg modern wooden piano stand. Please see the assembly guide for directions.
Can I use Recital Home on other types of piano stands?
You can use Recital Home on universal standard “X” type metal digital piano stands that do not require mounting the piano directly to the stand with screws. Other types of wooden digital piano stands typically require this type of mounting and are not likely compatible.
Where should I place the Recital Home?
Generally, we recommend assembling the Alesis Recital Home in a relaxing spot of your home where the keyboard can be a fixture; and we discourage any climbing on the keyboard for the safety of children and animals.
What are the Recital Home's dimensions and weight?
The Recital Home is 51.57” x 11.57” x 4.88” (WxDxH) and 26.2 lbs., without the stand and music rest attached.
The Recital Home is 51.6" x 16.68" x 29.88 (WxDxH) and 41.89 lbs., with the stand and music rest attached.
Is the 3-Pedal Unit Included? How does it work?
Yes! The Recital Home comes with its own triple pedal unit that functions the same way that pedals on a grand piano would, including Soft, Sostenuto and Sustain functions.
• Sustain (Right) Pedal - Press this pedal to sustain notes for longer. Release this pedal to immediately stop any sustained notes.
• Sostenuto (Center) Pedal - If you play a note or chord on the keyboard and press the sostenuto pedal, those notes will sustain as long as you hold the pedal but any notes played after will not be sustained. This makes it possible to sustain a chord while playing other short notes.
• Soft (Left) Pedal - Press this pedal to reduce the volume and slightly changes the tone of notes played while the pedal
is pressed.
Can I connect my own sustain (damper) pedal?
Yes! If you prefer a standard single sustain (damper) pedal (such as the Alesis ASP-1 or ASP-2 pedals), you can connect it to the 1/4" input on the rear panel labeled “Sustain”. Note: If your sustain pedal is acting opposite of how it is expected, try switching it’s polarity switch.
Speakers
How loud are the built-in speakers?
The built-in speakers feature 20 watts of power (2x10W per side) and can fill your standard-sized room at home with beautiful sound.
Can I connect Recital Home to an external speaker (ex. Keyboard Amp or PA System)
Yes! The Recital Home is equipped for with a 1/4” stereo “Line Out” that can be connected to a keyboard amplifier or PA system, which can be helpful if using in a larger performance setting such as a school or house of worship.
Does the Recital Home have headphones outputs?
Yes! The Recital Home has both 1/4" and 1/8” outputs conveniently located on the front panel of the piano.
Does connecting the headphones mute the speakers?
Yes! Plugging a pair of headphones into the 1/4” or 1/8” headphone outputs will mute the speakers. Please note that we do recommend the use of monitoring headphones with the keyboard, as consumer brand headphones will sometimes have a microphone and/or controls built into the wire which can impede the stereo sound from being heard correctly.
