What do I do if I can't reach the settings menu to put the module in update mode, or my update is interrupted?
It's important to take precaution and make sure your update runs smoothly. A failed or interrupted update can result in strange behavior and force you to try the update again.
If you have any trouble with the update, try performing the update from a computer or laptop (PC/mac). You can use a button combination to put the module into update mode, which allows you to bypass the settings menu and any on-screen navigation.
To do this:
- Download the latest PC or mac firmware installer from the Strata Prime Downloads page.
- Use a USB cable to connect your Strata Prime module directly to a USB port on your computer. Avoid using any USB hubs or adapters to ensure the most direct connection possible.
- On the module, hold down the Stop, Record, and Kit buttons while pressing the power button. Continue to hold the Stop, Record, and Kit buttons until you see the update screen.
- Double-click the update installer application to run it. Press Start Update in the application when you're ready for the update to begin.
Do not disconnect or power off the PRIME Drum Module or your computer until the update is completed. When the update is complete. When the update is completed, the update window will display "Done" and your Prime drum module will restart.
